"Qorbat" in Farsi is written in two different ways and can mean both "homesickness" and "closeness." Despite having a single word and pronunciation, it carries two entirely opposite meanings. The show comprises Iranian pop oldies and tunes by contemporary artists, either inspired by or based on these older songs. It reflects AAMIROO's personal experience and journey as a DJ and curator living in the diaspora for an extended period.
