AL.FESTIVAL, Berlin’s most prominent music gathering of the contemporary West Asian & North African music and art scene, is having its 3rd annual edition at Festsaal Kreuzberg on October 14th. Within the frame of their pre-celebrations, the festival crew is taking the chances to introduce the music and work of Doon Juthour; the Berlin-Haifa based Palestinian collective that will take over the full curation of the festival’s outdoor area during the event.
Doon Juthour (meaning 'rootless' in Arabic) aim through their events to amplify Palestinian Hip-hop musicians and offer space for local talents to present their handmade goods and expand their network. They focus on bringing our creative communities together and connecting Palestinian artists locally across the land and to the Diaspora worldwide.
In this show, Dimitra from AL.Festival is joined by the Doon Juthour artists Dana Durr, Ebaa Monther and the collective's founders Lina Bder and Moody Kablawi.
