aequa Radio: On Prisoner Solidarity | Sarj

With Sarj

June 11th is the International Day of Solidarity with Long-Term Anarchist Prisoners. That’s a lot of words and concepts in one day, so we’re gonna take some time on this show to unpack them, specifically zooming in on the idea of prisoner solidarity as part of the wider traditions of prison abolition and transformative justice. We have two guests joining us: one person with experience doing prisoner support organizing in the so-called US, and another who has the experience of having been incarcerated in Germany, as well as having studied the German and other prison systems and taught prison abolition in Europe.

aequa stands for social equity. We are an intersectional network of people and projects connected by our shared vision of a world in which everyone can thrive. On this radio show, we explore hope as a practice — how we can become more capable together and grow our collective power in the process.
