Born Londoner, Riaz’s passion for food from the Caribbean and black food culture in the UK, has taken readers and watchers, on a journey from the vibrant streets of London, the immigrant settlings around the UK, and to the corners of the Caribbean. His deep-rooted connection to his Caribbean heritage has enabled Riaz to seek out the often-untold stories and bring them to a new audience, through in-depth essays, reporting, activism, film, photography and recipe collation.
