Philipp Otterbach

Philipp Otterbach, DJ, producer and record collector, has devoted himself with endurance to music for a long time. During the 2000s, he has thrown forward-thinking parties with his buddy Vladimir Ivkovic in the German Ruhr region. When Düsseldorf’s shrine for outernational grooves Salon Des Amateurs opened in 2004, he became one of the first residents. Since 2014 he released music on labels like R-i-o,  Tour Messier and Knekelhuis. He has left marks as a remixer for artists like Brainwaltzer, DJ Normal 4, Wolf Müller and Niklas Wandt on labels like Growing Bin and Second Circle. 

The main craft of Mr. Otterbach is the DJ trade though – a sphere where he likes to drift beyond his own consciousness. A man for suspenseful story-telling that likes to melt early electronic music, krautrock, minimalism and all sorts of tribal rhythms with eclectic voodoo dance, psychedelic guitar tsunami’s, house, techno or electro. You can experience his skills on Red Light Radio, NTS or Intergalactic FM. He also played in several clubs around the European continent and festivals like Positive Education and DT Camp, where he created sweaty nights for dancers that love to get pitchforked into a scope of eternalness.
