Meilgaarden

Meilgaarden is a DJ and producer based in New York City where she’s been running club nights Sound Gymnastics and Mister Sister. Meilgaarden has played renowned clubs in New York such as Nowadays, Basement, Bossa Nova, Good Room, Public Records, and, Elsewhere. She has played in clubs and parties worldwide such as yuyu in Mexico, Video Club in Bogotá, Body Language in Berlin, and venues in Copenhagen, Amsterdam, and Stockholm. She is also a regular at New York’s iconic The Lot Radio, has a monthly resident show at Callshop Radio in Germany and played the infamous HÖR Berlin.

With a wide-ranging musical palette, she navigates multiple genres, showcasing a personal affinity and distinctive touch for 90s and early 2000s progressive house and trance. Calling to bouncy textures, she harnesses a euphoric rush and futurist energy with stylish verve.

Meilgaarden has been DJing since 2016, and started grounding her sound in disco and classic Chicago-style house. She came to New York in 2018, where she started her club night Sound Gymnastics which first took place at DIY-venues. In 2022 it became a frequent night at Mood Ring. Since 2020, Meilgaarden has hosted a monthly show under the same name at Callshop Radio in Leipzig, Germany, where she invites local NY-based DJs to participate.
