Maytra

Born in a tiny village in the East of France, Maytra quickly rolled to Paris when his hometown was getting too narrow. At 20, while studying in Colombia, he bought his first analogue piece of gear. The mountainous scenery and the nostalgic feelings that were growing inside him turned into a desire of creation. Back to Paris, he experienced great dancefloor boogies and found out about the music which would resonate in him for the next years, deep and soulful house. He then flew to Berlin, where he discovered a new approach to music and club culture, hanging out with producer friends, Cody Currie, Ziggy Zeitgeist, Jasper Sala... 2022 was his busiest year so far. He started his own label Energy Exchange Records with Lewis Moody and Ziggy Zeitgeist (Known as Zeitgeist Freedom Energy Exchange), introducing the new 30/70 album. And later that fall, Maytra’s producer destiny took a new step as he signed two consecutive EPs on “La Mamie’s Recording” (FR) and “Visions Recordings” (SW), taking its inspiration from the Detroit sounds of Hanna, Kyle Hall, Jay Daniel, ...
