Kyle Kidd

Kyle is conjuring a portal, pioneering a pathway, and erasing the binary. Creating Black Art, Kyle pulls from the many different avenues of Black music and culture. Vocally, they fuse classical, jazz, blues, gospel, funk and soul - existing outside of gender and beyond genre.

Performing internationally with acts such as Moor Mother, Irreversible Entanglements, Lonnie Holley, Algiers, and Mourning a BLKstar, Kyle was Recently featured on “Bless This Mess” - U.S. Girls, “Jazz Codes - Deluxe Edition” - Moor Mother, and “There is No Year” - Algiers

Recent performances include The Stephen Colbert Show, NPR: Tiny Desk, The Lot Radio, Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, and collaborations with the Christoph Winkler Dance Company. In their solo division, , Kyle curates multi-sensory experiences that incorporate stylized video, music, and fashion. They intend for their art in all its forms to be a tribal legacy, centered on representation, raw expression, and true freedom for each of us.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, Kyle Kidd is deeply committed to the next generation of creators. That dedication extends to work as an educator, collaborating with institutions such as Roots of American Music, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, The Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage, and NPR (Composition).
