Kristiāna Kārkliņa

Kristiāna Kārkliņa is a Latvian musician and vocal artist. In her practice she explores the contrast between clear voice and harsh voice, balancing between the two and thinning the border.

Over the course of her career she's worked extensively with black metal band eschatos and neo-classical goth trio Pamirt; collaborated with Latvian noise artist Elssa, black metal band Velnezers, Latvian-American collaboration Black Earth Black Sky and prog artists Holy Lamb; experimented in sound art as a soloist with Tissue Museum and worked on a series of improvisation-based projects.
