ELMÆ

ELMÆ Muslija is a Bosnian-born multidisciplinary artist, producer, DJ, and the CEO of Radićeva 1 - a deconstructed club experience created in a challenging sociopolitical environment but confined to no address. In his ever-changing music narrative, in the past 10 years, ELMÆ’s presence was about the continuum and creating self-sustainable ecosystems. The (art) practice he is most known for is SESTRE - an audio-visual project which in its 10-year long run went all the way from designing social values and artificial equalisation between creative and political authorities through various exhibitions and performances, to pioneering an inclusive club experience in Sarajevo. A spacious ethereal atmosphere with hard-hitting-hardstyle-inspired beats that sound like a collapsing building was a precursor for his latest project, an ecosystem called E-motional landscapes which has been going on for 2 years. Using the overly monetised SoundCloud platform to declare a non-place as a someplace, to make a club out of a person, ELMÆ creates a digital conglomerate of emotions, love, and memories translated into the language of disintegration, but still it is always more than a regrettable, ill-fated dogma. Its static, linear notion of transmitting information is sometimes interrupted, most of the time in the form of IDM, glitch, leftfield, jungle, breakbeat, neurofunk, and heavy bass, but the conversation is ongoing.
