DJ Mew

DJ mew started DJing in Tokyo in 2002. In the beginning, she was mainly backing local hip hop acts such as PSG and KOCHITOLA HAGURETIC EMCEE’S. After a while, her desire to make people dance more freely has lead to broaden her music selection. Over time, she established her own style that's rooted in hip-hop grooves, inspired by the weight of bass music, and influenced by rock music she familiarised through her experiences in playing in bands. She has been promoting her own events as well as getting booked in clubs all around Tokyo and beyond ,as far reaching as Bangkok, Berlin and London.
