Deborah Sumter is a 29-year-old Rotterdam-based DJ part of the all-female DJ collective @ampfeminine. This PhD researcher by day turns DJ by night. She started dj-ing in 2018 and is an upcoming talent you definitely need to keep your eyes on! What you get? An eclectic mess that resembles my drawn out mood. The main theme? Tracks that slap. Hard. From soulful, deep, funky house to hard drums, percussions, bass and footwork. When she plays you can expect a lot of percussions and heavy basslines. The cherry on top? The head bopping, dancing and lip synching to tracks. In 2019, Deborah played at Club NYX in Amsterdam and Performance Bar and MONO in Rotterdam. One of the highlights last year was when she got to warm up the stage for Josey Rebelle at BIRD.
