Caitlin Medcalf

Caitlin Medcalf is a Warrang/Sydney based DJ, producer, radio host and curator with almost a decade of experience in the music industry.

With a passion for sounds that hit a bit harder, Caitlin Medcalf's DJ sets span rave, house, techno, electro and breakbeat.

For almost a decade, Caitlin was at the helm of tastemaker brand Purple Sneakers. She began as a contributor at age 16, working her way up to a stint as the brand’s owner. She was 1/3 of the next generation of Purple Sneakers DJs, touring the country twice and DJing at festivals like Splendour In The Grass, Listen Out, Output Festival and more, as well as working with brands like Nike and Bonds. She also hosted a variety of shows on FBi Radio from the ripe age of 18 when she was accepted into presenter training. She finished up with Purple Sneakers on FBi Radio in 2020 after 6 years on air and is about to embark on a new radio adventure with Nomad Radio, where she’ll be presenting a new show, Faster. Since leaving her role at Purple Sneakers in 2019, she’s been working on her own original music. She began releasing music in 2021, with her debut single 'Gel' being released at the start of the year via Parry Talks’ inaugural charity compilation. She has since put out a rave-ready track ‘Midnight 95’ which was released on UK label Sticky Tapes’ First Birthday compilation, and was featured in Mixmag. She also delivered a high-tempo remix of Tom Bruce’s ‘Crying In The Club’ featuring Maxy Cozy via Gallery Recordings. She is currently readying the release of her debut EP, which is set to come out in early 2022.
