Anthony Sahyoun otherwise known as Mme Chandelier is a Lebanese composer, musician, and programmer. His main field of work is electronic processing of acoustic elements, programming and experimental music. He co-founded the Lebanese experimental ensemble Kinematik in 2015, co-founded Lebanese alternative sextet SANAM in 2021 and he released his sophomore solo record “Proof by Infinite Descent” in 2021.
Anthony has performed with Hans Joachim Irmler from the German legendary Krautrock band FAUST, Fadi Tabbal, Jad Atoui, Sandy Chamoun, Sary Moussa, Youmna Saba, Sharif Sehnaoui, and Bana Haffar. He’s a part of Tunefork Studios since 2018, renowned Lebanese studio and sound-space where he works as a composer and mixing engineer. He also scores music for film such as Ghassan Salhab’s “One Rose Ouverte” and Cyril Aris’ “Dancing on the Edge of a Volcano” and has composed sound for various installations such as Yuri Pattison’s “DreamScape” (2023), Larissa Sansour’s “As If No Misfortune Has Occurred in the Night” and directed (with Aia Atoui) “Shabah Al Rih” (2020).
